Nadezhda Babkina and folk-group "Russian Song". 
The Vocal Drama Ensemble "Russian Song", theatre of the Russian
song folklore, is currently one of the most popular folk group in Russia.
It was set up in 1975 by famous Russian singer, talented organizer Nadezhda
Babkina.
A unique range of vocal timbres, brilliant mastery, deep and thorough knowledge
of singing styles and genres, rich and colourful Russian costumes, impressive
dancing pieces - all this makes the perfomances of "Russian Song"
a magnificent, enchanting show.
The programs of ensemble are vivid and dinamic, they are built up taking into
consideration the interests of the audience. The repertory includes songs,
music, dances-day, entertaining, comic, lyrical, round-dance songs. The perfomance
is so dynamic that nobody can be left indifferent. It brakes the language
barier. "Russian Song"'s perfomance with Diana Ross in a joint US
- Russian TV programme was sufficient proof for that.
The ensemble was given a hearty welcome in many countries, it perfomed in
the most prestigious concert halls: the Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Centre
in Washington, big concert halls of Germany, France, Spain, Japan, South Korea.
