Alexandr Alexandrov  was born in 1957 in St. Petersburg.
Studied bassoon under prof. O. Talypin in Musical College of M. Mussorgsky (degree: BA in Music, 1979), under prof. G. Eremkin in St. Petersburg State Conservatory  (degree: MA in Music, 1985).

ORCHESTRAL EXPERIENCE :

1975-1985 worked as bassoonist in symphony, opera, and chamber orchestras.
(Leningrad Conservatory Symphony orchestra, State Kirov Opera & Ballet Theatre, Old & Contemporary Music Chamber orchestra... )

Y.), England (London), Turkey (Istanbul), France (Compiegne, Arles). Playing at such clubs as Knitting Factory (N. Y.), Bimhuis (Amsterdam), Porgy & Bess (Vienna), Fabrik (Hamburg), Rote Fabrik , Moods (Zurich)...
Solo Projects: "Suite for Bassoon and Computer" - First Art project using satellite connection "Cosmic Bridge Moscow - Paris" with prof. Fred Forest.
"Lyrics and Music" - original compositions written for poets and writers: Andrej Bitov, Dmitrij Prigov, Lew Rubinstein, Uwe Dick, Jaap Blonk performed in Karlsruhe, Munich, Innsbruck, Rosenheim, Amsterdam, N. Y. ...
